Whitaker Family – Vancouver WA Portrait Photographer

Last year we had the privilege of taking pictures for the Whitaker family.  They are good friends of ours and it was a lot of fun to join with them in creating a few memories! You can see in these few pictures that they are a close knit family who truly love each other and love being with each other! It really was a joy to take their pictures that day!

“What greater thing is there for human souls than to feel that they are joined for life – to be with each other in silent unspeakable memories.”  ~George Eliot

“I don’t care how poor a man is; if he has family, he’s rich.”  ~Dan Wilcox and Thad Mumford

Brothers don’t shake hands, Brothers gotta hug!

“When you look at your life, the greatest happinesses are family happinesses.”  ~Joyce Brothers

“Having a place to go – is a home.  Having someone to love – is a family.  Having both – is a blessing.”  ~Donna Hedges

How Do You Like ‘Dem Apples Free Wallpaper

One of our favorite fall activities as a family has become going for a drive in Hood River on the “Fruit Loop.” We did it for the first time last year, and have made it a new annual tradition with our repeat of the drive this year. Of course, the drive is not about the cereal, but about all the amazing orchards and wineries that line the streets of gorgeous Hood River. As an added bonus, the drive is absolutely beautiful. You get to see views of Mt. Hood up close from the north side which is something we don’t see too often living on the west side of the mountain. You can also catch views of the majestic Mt. Adams.  The drive takes you up over 2,000′  feet in elevation. It is a wonderful all-around trip and a fun family tradition.

Today we are sharing with you a picture from our trip. We love stopping at many of the apple orchards on the Loop. This is a picture from stop #17 Kiyokawa Family Orchards & Fruit Stand. It’s one of our favorites! This is our last stop on the trip, where they have a cool fort made of old Apple Crates for the kids to play in. The vendors are friendly and offer phenomenal prices.

If you’re in the area during harvest season, I’d highly recommend taking the drive. Give us a call, we might just tag along!

Story Wedding Preview, Vancouver WA Photographer

What makes for a great wedding day? A beautiful setting? Sure, that helps. A beautiful bride and handsome groom? Aren’t they all! Cool old trucks and fun wedding parties? Having a great photographer? Of course, that’s a very important part as well:)But the most important part is True Love. All the other things are secondary. But when there is love in the air, you know it’s going to be a great day! Here are some pictures of just that, true love.

Yes,  old trucks make for some great pictures! And in case you’re wondering, no – there wasn’t a step ladder.:)

Can’t you see just how much fun they had that day! It was a great day for the Bride and Groom and for everyone involved!

There will be more to come, but for now we’ll leave you with this shot of the wedding. It was a beautiful setting, a beautiful day for a beautiful couple!
